NEW Cygnus 2 Organic LED Display

The Latest Cygnus 2 Hands Free is now fitted with a new bright, clear blue organic LED display. The new improved display is easy to read in the bright, bright sun to dimly lit areas. By using this new display the battery life has been increased by 50%.

NEW Cygnus 2000m &4000m ROV Thickness Gauges

Cygnus Instruments offers two new ROV Thickness Testing Systems designed to be mounted onto most types of Work Class ROV's with manipulator facilities. These units have been rated to 2000m and 4000m depths. Dedicated software displays the time, date and thickness measurements on the surface and all of these can be stored, logged or displayed on a monitor screen or a video device.

Probe Holders for small to Work Class ROV's

G1

• Cygnus G1 Probe Handler Designed for observation and small ROV's
• Constructed from Acetyl
• Adjustable mounting bracket
• Automatic alignment of the probe with an articulated mount which allows 15* of motion in both planes
• Designed for general inspection work

S1

• Cygnus S1 probe handler is designed for inspection & medium sized ROVs
• Constructed from acetyl
• Single jointed coupling provides 45 degrees of movement from the vertical plane for probe alignment
• It has magnetic pads which allow it to hold on to the hull plate and aid probe alignment
• Designed for inspection of ship's hulls

W1

• Cygnus W1 probe handler is designed for use on Work Class ROVs
• It can be held by a manipulator arm and supplied with a T bar or Fish Tail handles
• Constructed from 316 Stainless Steel
• 15* of movement on both planes for aid in probe alignment
• A shock absorbing spring reduces any impact loading on the unit
  

NEW Cygnus Hatch Sure Leak Detection system

The new Hatch Sure is designed to detect leaks and test the weather tightness of cargo ship hatch
covers using an ultrasonic transmitter, microphone and receiver.

NEW Cygnus CygScope Industrial Leak Detectors

Cygnus introduces two new industrial Leak Detectors designed to pinpoint leaks in pressure and vacuum systems along piping, valves, flanges, gaskets, etc. These gauges also detect mechanical wear of bearings with a contact probe by listening to changes in sound indicating wear in motors or pumps. Leaks can also be pinpointed in tanks or vessels and checking seams, fractures, welds or weather stripping by using a tone generator place inside the tank or vessel. Also these gauges can be used to pinpoint electrical arcing or discharge and Corona leaks.
